David Michael Fontneau

David Michael Fontneau, 63, of Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.Born on August 16, 1955 in Attleboro, he was the son of the late Roger Robert Fontneau and the late Dolores Margaret (Morin) Fontneau.A lifelong resident of Attleboro, he was a graduate of Attleboro High School, Class of 1973, and Bridgewater State University. David worked for many years at City Spirits Liquors in Attleboro.A kind and caring man, he was an avid sports fan, whose favorite teams were the Boston Red Sox, the New York Yankees, and the Minnesota Twins. He played softball in both the Attleboro and Taunton Industrial Softball League, and loved listening to country music. David had a special place in his heart for his cat and his late dog of fourteen years, an American Eskimo, " Baron".He was the dear brother of Thomas J. Fontneau and his wife, Maureen B. (MacDonald) Fontneau, of Chepachet, RI; and Gary R. Fontneau and his wife, Amy S. (Iltzsch) Fontneau, of Seekonk, MA. David leaves his nephews, Justin R. Fontneau; his niece, Gwendolyn J. Ryan; his grand-nephew, Jaiden R. Hutchinson; and his grand-niece, Hadley Q. Ryan. All services for David will be private.
