David Christopher Elder, 50, of Lynnfield, MA, passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at the Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Burlington, MA.
Born on January 24, 1971 in Chelsea, MA, he was the son of the late Marion W. Elder Sr. and the late Mary B. (Sullivan) Elder.
He received his education in the Everett-Parlin school system and proudly worked for many years in product assembly in the Bridgewell-Kelly J. Martin Employment Program in Lynn, MA. A resident of Lynnfield for twenty years, he previously lived in Malden, MA.
Even though he relied on the use of a wheelchair for many years, David always had a broad smile on his face. He truly had a heart of gold and was an inspiration to all who knew and loved him. He showed his persistence and grit having participated in the Special Olympics. He delighted in watching "The Brady Bunch" on television, and always enjoyed the simple pleasures of a Dunkin' Donuts iced coffee.
David leaves his dear brother, Marion "Chris" W. Elder Jr. and his wife, Heather A. (Junior) Elder, of Cumberland, RI; as well as his nieces and nephews: Hannah E. Choiniere of Attleboro, MA; Brian M. Walsh of Stoughton, MA; Alanna M. Elder of Plainville, MA; and Derek M. Elder of Plainville, MA.
With strict adherence to applicable Covid-19 health precautions, including social distancing and the use of facemasks, family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Visitation in the "Commonwealth Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, on Monday, May 10, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Dyer-Lake Funeral Home.
Graveside Services will follow the funeral service in North Purchase Cemetery, Attleboro.
