David Allen Cameron, 52, of Johnson Street, North Attleboro, died on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at his residence surrounded by the love of his devoted and dedicated family following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Kelly A. (McLaughlin) Cameron with whom he shared many years and was married to on July 7, 2007. Born in Elgin, Illinois, he was a son of the late Joseph E. and Mabel V. (Fishback) Cameron. He resided in New Jersey for 16 years prior to moving to Massachusetts and settling in Plainville in 1976. He resided in North Attleboro for the past six years having previously resided in Seekonk and Attleboro. Mr. Cameron was employed as a construction laborer for Local Union #275 until illness in April 2009. He was a proud union member and Mr. Cameron was a member of the Attleboro Moose. He enjoyed time spent in the Berkshires and fresh and saltwater fishing. Mr. Cameron treasured working in the woodshop he had in his home building furniture and other wooden items. In addition to his wife of four years, he leaves two sons: David A. Cameron and his wife, Elizabeth, of Zephyrhills, Florida and Gregory M. Cameron and his wife, Tabatha, of Haines City, Florida; seven grandchildren; a sister: Cynthia Cameron Boucher of Lewisville, North Carolina and two brothers: Donald Cameron of Spotswood, New Jersey and Lester Cameron of Hillside, New Jersey. He was the brother of the late Russell Cameron. He was the son-in-law of Malcolm and Carol A. (MacPherson) Hood of North Attleboro and the late Daniel McLaughlin. He also leaves several extended family members and friends. Visitation has been respectfully omitted. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a graveside funeral service on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, 565 Mount Hope Street, North Attleboro. Burial will follow. Following cemetery services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced.
