David P. Buker

David Paul Buker, 62, of North Attleboro, MA passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA following a brief illness.  He was the loving husband of Donna Marie (Foley) Buker to whom he was married on September 12, 1987.
Born in Weymouth, MA on January 12, 1960, he was a son of the late Augustino "Gus" and the late Bette (Colby) Salvaggi.  He was raised and educated in Weymouth where he was a 1978 graduate of Weymouth Vocational High School.
Mr. Buker was employed by the United States Postal Service since 1983 in various positions at numerous facilities.  For the past several years, he was a mail handler at the Providence, RI processing plant.
He and his family were residents of North Attleboro since June 2000 having moved to the community from the Mattapan neighborhood of Boston, MA.
David will be lovingly remembered by his family as the "Best Dad Ever" and the most thoughtful, caring, and kind-hearted man.  His family treasures the times spent on family vacations to Busch Gardens, Hershey Park, on cruises and trips to Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.
He loved to shop, enjoyed frequent cups of Dunkin Donuts coffee, helping his kids with any projects, going to the gun range, and working outside his home doing yardwork and tending to his beloved birds and squirrels.  A lifelong animal lover, he also enjoyed his tools, his pickup trucks and woodworking.
In addition to his wife, he leaves five children: Jenna Buker; Kyle Buker; Fredrick Buker; Tyler Buker and Jordan Buker all of North Attleboro, MA; a granddaughter: Peyton Kelley of North Attleboro, MA; a sister: Tara Plett and her husband, Tommy, of Trumbell, CT; his mother-in-law: Helen Foley; and brother-in-laws ,sister-in-laws, cousins and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late, Stephen Buker and was the son-in-law of the late Fred Foley, both of whom he loved dearly.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Visitation on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Funeral Service on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
Following services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments.
Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in David's name may be made to the North Attleboro Animal Shelter, 43 South Washington Street, North Attleboro, MA 02760.
