David Lee Beaulieu

David Lee Beaulieu, 86, of Plainville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. He was the beloved husband of Theresa Irene (Champagne) Beaulieu, to whom he was wed on April 24, 1954.Born on September 27, 1929 in North Attleboro, MA, he was the son of the late Alphonse J. Beaulieu and the late Ruth I. (Ewen) Beaulieu.David was a graduate of North Attleboro High School, Class of 1948. He proudly and honorably served our country as a Staff Sargeant in the United States Marines from 1948 until 1952. David then worked for thirty-eight years at Texas Instruments in Attleboro, MA as a Supervisor, and for forty-years, he enjoyed working part-time for North Attleboro Liquor World in North Attleboro.A resident of Plainville, MA for the last nine years, he was born, raised, and lived in North Attleboro for over fifty years. David was a communicant of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in North Attleboro for many years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for more than fifty years, and was an ardent Patriots fan who enjoyed the sport of boxing and working in his yard. David truly appreciated time spent with his cherished family and faithful pets, and had a lifelong care for animals. In addition to his wife, Theresa, he is survived by the children and grandchildren he so deeply adored. He leaves his children: Michael E. Beaulieu and his wife, Susan Beaulieu, of Attleboro, MA; Linda B. (Beaulieu) McLeod of Lawrence, MA; and Kevin D. Beaulieu and his wife, Kimberly A. Beaulieu, of Milford, MA; and his treasured grandchildren: Kati A. McLeod; and Emily J. McLeod. David was the brother of Robert Beaulieu of Ft. Myers Beach, FL, and his late wife, Bonnie Beaulieu; the late Donald "Don" Edward Beaulieu and his late wife, Sheila M. (Aspinall) Beaulieu; the late Ruth (Beaulieu) Preston and her late husband Harold Preston; and the late Lillian (Beaulieu) LaCroix and her late husband, Alfred LaCroix. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Visitation with Military Honors on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 Noon. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, ¾ mile on the left) Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service immediately following visitation on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 12:00 Noon. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home.Children's room is available during Visitation and the Memorial Service.Those in need of a local ride to the visitation may call the funeral home at (508) 695-0200 to make an advance reservation for such complimentary transportation. Graveside services and burial will follow with full Military Honors in Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum in North Attleboro, MA.
