David "Dave" A. Hunt, 66, of Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth A. (Black) Hunt, to whom he was married on July 24, 1977.
Born on April 9, 1952 in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Herman and Lulu (Smith) Hunt.
A graduate of Newton High School, Dave worked for many years in shipping and receiving in the textile industry before retiring in 1999. A resident of Attleboro for the past thirty years, he previously lived in Newton, MA.
Dave was a kind man with a gentle soul, emanating a calm peacefulness. He led a life filled with faith, devotion, and commitment to the teachings of the Bible, from which he often read and whose words he could frequently be heard but quoting and following. He found peace and comfort among his longtime church family at Second Congregational Church in Attleboro, where he was truly at home.
In addition to his loving wife, Elizabeth, he leaves his dear siblings: John Hunt of Brighton, MA; Stephen Hunt and his wife, Janice M. Hunt, of Mansfield, MA; and Jacquelyn Scott and her husband, Dennis Scott, of Manchester, NH. He was the brother of the late Carol Hunt. Dave leaves his nieces: Jacquelyn and Roberta LeBrecque; his many dear friends; and a very special friend, Marcia Weidner of Attleboro, MA, whose generosity and assistance to Dave over the years was simply immeasurable.
A Funeral Service was held in memory of Dave at Second Congregational Church in Attleboro, MA.
