Daniel Alfred Stevens

October 6, 1946 — April 15, 2025

Daniel A. Stevens, 78, of Rehoboth, MA passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at the Crystal Lake Rehabilitation and Care Center in Pascoag, Rhode Island. He was the beloved husband of Joanne M. (Kieltyka) Stevens.

Born in Chicago, Illinois on October 6, 1946, he was a son of the late Alfred Stevens and the late Verna (Bradford) Stevens. He was raised and educated in Illinois and received his bachelor's degree in history at the University of Illinois and his master's degree in finance from Northwestern University and was proud of his alma mater.

He proudly served in the United States Army having been a veteran of the Vietnam War.

Mr. Stevens was employed as an auditor in the newspaper publication industry for many years prior to his retirement having been employed by the Tribune Company, the New York Daily News and
Inland Steel.

He treasured the times worshipping at his church - St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Taunton, MA.

His world was his family, and he truly loved playing golf with his son, Matthew, at Hidden Hollow Country Club in Rehoboth and was a devoted fan of Northwestern University football.

In addition to his wife of almost 57 years, he leaves his children: Jonathan A. Stevens of St. Cloud, Florida; Matthew A. Stevens of Warwick, Rhode Island; Patrick D. Stevens of Berkeley, MA and Scott A. Stevens of Dartmouth, MA; 7 grandchildren and extended family members and many dear friends.

He was the father of the late Geoffrey D. Stevens and brother of the late Ronald Stevens.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Service of Thanksgiving and Remembrance on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 1:00 pm at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 111 High Street, Taunton, MA.

Visitation is respectfully omitted, and burial will be private.

Please omit flowers. Memorial donations in Daniel's name may be made to the St. Thomas Church Altar Guild, 111 High Street, Taunton, MA 02780.
