Daniel Robert Mckenzie

Daniel Robert McKenzie, 73, of North Attleboro, MA passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 5, 2022, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA after having been stricken while on a walk in his neighborhood.  He was the beloved husband of Donna Louise (Ansaldi) McKenzie whom he married on May 19, 1973.
Born in Providence, Rhode Island, on August 2, 1948, he was a son of the late Sidney A. McKenzie and the late Evelyn (Rose) McKenzie.
He was raised and educated in Warwick, Rhode Island where he was a graduate of Pilgrim High School.  He had been a resident of North Attleboro for the past 45 years.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Mr. McKenzie was a self-employed tractor trailer driver for many years until his retirement in 2011.
In previous years, he enjoyed rides on his Harley Davidson and liked attending Boston Bruins games with his son, traditional family Sunday breakfasts, spending time on Cape Cod, trips to Las Vegas and Atlantic City, and watching golf having had been a caddy in his youth.
The McKenzie family were communicants of the Transfiguration of the Lord Parish - St. Mark in Attleboro Falls, MA.
In addition to his wife of almost 49 years, he leaves his beloved son: Daniel Robert McKenzie Jr. of North Attleboro, MA; a sister-in-law: Janet McKenzie and her daughter: Jennifer McKenzie, both of Niantic, Connecticut, and her son: Tyler McKenzie of New York City, and his dear cousin: Rev. Frank McKenzie of Spencer, MA.  He was the brother of the late Sidney McKenzie.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.  A Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow at 4:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" with the Rev. Frank McKenzie, officiating.  The wearing of masks is optional.
Burial will be private.
