Daniel Thomas Corrigan

Daniel Thomas Corrigan, 68, of Attleboro, passed away with family by his side on April 6, 2011 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was the husband of Norma L. (Henriques) Corrigan, the sweetheart of his life, to whom he was married on June 27, 1964. Born on December 14, 1942, he was a son of the late Ambrose Edward Corrigan and Mary Irene (Michalik) Corrigan. He was raised in Attleboro and grew alongside his sisters, Kathleen (Corrigan) Strycharz and the late Joan Eileen Corrigan who died on February 1, 2011. Along with his wife, he laughed, loved and proudly raised a family of three loving children in whom he instilled an avid appreciation of family, strength of mind and zest for life. He was a highly respected master upholsterer specializing in custom marine applications and well known for quality craftsmanship. The consummate sportsman, he was a skilled hunter and fisherman. He was devoted to his annual hunting retreats to New Hampshire with close family, friends and, of course, his many beloved hunting dogs throughout the years. In addition to his adoring wife, Norma, he also leaves his sister: Kathleen Strycharz and her husband, Stanley Strycharz, of Attleboro; a daughter: Leah Corrigan of Attleboro; two sons: Erick Corrigan and his wife, Kathie (Laverty) Corrigan of East Killingly, CT and Daniel Owen and his wife, Jennifer (Toone) Corrigan of Providence, Rhode Island and his seven cherished grandchildren: Tiffanie Laverty, Nicholas Herbert, Kaitlin Herbert, Alexander Herbert, Daniel Charles Corrigan, Ethan Corrigan and Edward Toone Corrigan. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Monday, April 11, 2011 from 4:00 8:00 PM in the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Service on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Burial will follow in St. Johns Cemetery, West Street, Attleboro. Please do not send flowers. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mr. Corrigans name may be made to the Dyer-Lake Charitable Foundation, Inc., a registered 501 (c) 3 organization, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, North Attleboro, MA 02760 to benefit the American Heart and Stroke Association.
