Dale Robert Brough Sr., 82, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI. He was the beloved husband of Ruby L. (Chase) Brough, to whom he was married on May 16, 1987.Born on October 11, 1936 in Attleboro, MA, he was the son of the late Robert Brough and the late Margaret (Ireland) LaCroux, and the stepson of Staphanie Carrey of Kentucky, and the late Norman LaCroux.A graduate of North Attleboro High School, Dale proudly and honorably served our country in the United States Navy for twenty years. He worked for twenty-one years as a Security Guard for the former Texas Instruments in Attleboro before retiring. A resident of North Attleboro since 1993, Dale attended All Saints Anglican Church in Attleboro.He was a kind, caring, and outgoing man who genuinely loved people. He enjoyed calling BINGO at the Elks, the Knights of Columbus, and at the former St. Joseph's Church. Dale was an avid reader of the James Patterson series of novels, and enjoyed visiting flea markets and watching Westerns on television. He treasured spending time with his large family, and had a special place in his heart for his late cat, "Tabby", and his late dog, "Molly". In addition to his wife, Ruby, he leaves his loving children: Sebrina Brough of Florida; Douglas Brough of Florida; Alex P. Brough of Florida; Dwayne M. Lane of Florida; Lorie Trask of Attleboro, MA; and Jennifer Cullors of Rhode Island. He was the father of the late Dale Robert Brough Jr. Dale leaves his dear step-children: Donald R. Patnaude Jr. and Timothy J. Patnaude. He was the step-father of the late Bruce A. Patnaude and the late Michael J. Patnaude. He was an adoring grandfather of ten grandchildren and the proud great-grandfather of six great-grandchildren. Dale was the brother of Kenneth Brough of Attleboro, MA and Florida; Roberta Collins of Rhode Island: Susan Brough: the late Dean Brough; and the step-brother of Irving Lane.
