Cynthia Ann (Burns) Marcotte, 67, of Cumberland, RI, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard "Dick" Marcotte who died on June 9, 2011. Born on April 20, 1949 in Attleboro, MA, she was the daughter of the late George Burns and the late Evelyn (Myers) Burns. A graduate of Attleboro High School, Class of 1967, Cindy worked for many years in Customer Service, ending her career with the Hasbro Corporation in Pawtucket, RI, before retiring in 2011.Prior to moving to Cumberland in 2011, she resided on Clifton Street in Attleboro, MA for many years, where she was a past member of Good News Bible Chapel. Cindy enjoyed birdwatching as well as the wildlife outside her home, often photographing them. She enjoyed reading and was a member of her local book club; loved to travel, both within the United States and throughout Europe, and especially enjoyed visiting national parks in her journeys. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family, especially her cherished twin grandsons. Cindy was the loving mother of Eric E. Lund and his wife, Deanna Raffaele Lund, and the adoring grandmother of Tristan E. Lund and Adrian J. Lund, all of North Attleboro, MA. She was the sister of George Burns of Port St. Lucie, FL; Linda Denton and her husband, Charles, of Austin, TX; Edward Burns and his wife, Karen, of Plymouth, MA; and Debra McAlice and her husband, David, of North Attleboro, MA. She was the sister of the late Sandra Dumont.
