Cordelia Wentland

December 26, 1941 — June 9, 2021

Cordelia Ann (Reed) Wentland, 79, of Middleborough, MA, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice in Providence, Rhode Island.  She was the wife of the late Neil F. Wentland.
Born in Middleborough on December 26, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Arthur L. Reed and the late Alice B. (Young) Reed.  She was a graduate of Old Rochester Regional High School in Mattapoisett, MA.
Cordelia was employed as a Cranberry Bog Manager for Olsen Cranberry in Carver, MA for many years prior to her retirement. She returned to her native Middleborough three years ago, after haven resided in South Carolina, Indiana, and Oregon.
Remembered as a "free spirit", Cordelia was a people person who enjoyed the outdoors, reading and walking.  A lifelong animal lover, she enjoyed and treasured the times spent with her much-loved canine friends - "Rocky" and "Cheyenne".
Left to mourn her loss are her two children: Michael L. Wentland of Middleborough, MA, and Sherie Guy and her husband, Jonathan Guy, of Portland, TN; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother: David Olsen in South Carolina, several extended family members, and many friends.  She was the mother of the late Neil T. "Tom" Wentland.
Visitation has respectfully been omitted.
A private memorial service and celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
Burial will be private.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made in Cordelia's name to the Middleborough Animal Shelter, 50 Access Road, Middleborough, MA 02346.
