Constance A. (Riley) Strom, 76, of Oakridge Avenue, North Attleboro, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at her residence. She was the former wife of the late Sherman A. Strom who died on April 24, 1999. Born in Providence, Rhode Island on April 24, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Charles E. Riley, Jr. and Eleanor W. (Rice) Riley. She was raised and educated in the City of Attleboro where she was a 1953 graduate of Attleboro High School. She remained a resident of Attleboro until 1969 when she moved to North Attleboro. Mrs. Strom earned her Associates degree in Business Management from Colby College. She was the former owner and operator of the Attleboro & Plainville Oil Company, Inc. in Attleboro and Kirley Masonry Supply Company in Mansfield. Mrs. Strom was most importantly a devoted and dedicated homemaker to her family. She was a former member of Second Congregational Church, Attleboro. Among her favorite pastimes were working tirelessly in her amazing perennial gardens, bird watching, knitting and cooking. However, her most treasured moments were those spent surrounded with her family at the lake front home sharing meals and creating lifelong memories. She leaves three children: Kristen D. Curtis and her husband, David L. Curtis, of Steuben, Maine; Jefferson S. Strom and his fiance, Elise S. Kerrigan, of North Attleboro and Eric C. Strom and his wife, Lynda C. (Cyrulik) Strom, of North Attleboro; six cherished grandchildren: Tyler J. Strom, Joshua N. Strom, Connor D. Strom, Justin R. Strom, Haley L. Strom and Nicholas M. Kerrigan all of North Attleboro; a sister: Nancy Jane Doescher of Prescott, Arizona and several extended family members and friends. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Thursday, December 15, 2011 from 5:00 8:00 PM in the Memorial Chapel of Dyer-Lake Funeral Home the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. A private graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, December 16, 2011 at Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, Mount Hope Street, North Attleboro with the Rev. Carole L. Baker, Pastor of Central Congregational Church, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, officiating. Childrens room available during visitation.
