Constance Connie Parks, 67, of Handy Street, Attleboro, died on January 7, 2012 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro following a brief illness. Born in Waltham, Massachusetts on November 8, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Henry Arthur and Harriett (Mills) Parks. A resident of Attleboro since 1985, Miss Parks previously resided at the former Wrentham State School. For many years she was affiliated with the Community Partners Day Program in North Attleboro. She was very tactile and enjoyed doing things with her fingers. Her favorite pastimes included spending time with family and friends and enjoying a good cup of coffee. She loved egg salad and had an insatiable love for desserts particularly butterscotch pudding and loved the colors purple and pink. Miss Parks leaves a sister: Judith P. Mullen of Benbrook, Texas; a niece: Elizabeth M. Hirschler and her husband, Paul A. Hirschler, of Bryan, Texas; a nephew: John W. Mullen and his wife, Erin W. (Warren) Mullen, of Benbrook, Texas; two grand nieces; a grand nephew; her devoted caregivers and loving housemates and countless friends. Visitation has been respectfully omitted. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend the Funeral Service in Celebration of Her Life on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro with the Rev. Jewel Hardmon, Pastor of the Fruit of the Spirit Mission Church, Attleboro, officiating. Burial will follow in Newell Burying Ground, West Street, South Attleboro. Following cemetery services an invitation will be extended to join family and friends for a time of continued fellowship, refreshments and continued sharing of memories in the lower level of Bethany Village Fellowship, 516 Newport Avenue, South Attleboro. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Miss Parks name may be made to the Fruit of the Spirit Mission Church, 30 Leroy Street, Attleboro, MA 02703.
