Constance "Connie A. Mullaney

Constance "Connie" A. (Borden) Mullaney, 94, of North Attleboro, peacefully passed away on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Epoch Senior Healthcare of Norton in Norton, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward Robert Mullaney who died on March 18, 2003. Born in Attleboro, MA on August 18, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Henry S. Borden and the late Grace C. (Boyle) Borden.Connie resided in North Attleboro for more than fifty-seven years, having previously lived in Attleboro.A graduate of Pawtucket High School, Class of 1938, she worked for more than forty years in the offices of the former Leavens Manufacturing Company in Attleboro before retiring in 1988. After retiring, she worked for Fisher-LeStage until she decided it was time to give up her office work. Connie was always proud of her work with the U.S. Treasury Department in Washington, D.C. during the World War II years. Connie was a communicant of St. Mark's Roman Catholic Church in Attleboro Falls. She loved to putter and work around her home, and enjoyed needle work and crocheting. Connie always held a special place in her heart for her two late dogs: "Shorty" and "Sadie". She was the sister of the late Robert S. Borden, and his wife, Eileen E. (Grover) Borden of Attleboro, MA; and the late Harry J. Borden and his wife, Virginia (Lee) Borden of Attleboro, MA; and is survived by two generations of nieces and nephews. Connie leaves her long time dear friend, Rita George.Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend the Funeral on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. from the "Memorial Chapel" of Dyer-Lake Funeral Home in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the nationally historic "Colonel Obed Robinson Home", 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, ¾ mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mark's Roman Catholic Church, Stanley Street, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro with the Rev. Thomas Frechette, pastor, officiating.Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, at which time Connie will be laid to rest alongside her dear husband.
