Claire Aline Fauteux

Claire Aline (Frechette) Fauteux, 84, of Attleboro, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of her companion and dear friends, on Friday, March 7, 2014. She was the longtime companion of Carol Ann Shea. Born in New Bedford on February 22, 1930, Claire was a daughter of the late Roland Frechette and Georgiana (Davignon) Greene. She was also the step-daughter of the late Claire (Messier) Frechette. Ms. Fauteux was a graduate of Tolman High School. Claire was employed as a quality control supervisor at Texas Instruments in Attleboro for over 25 years prior to her retirement in 1991. She was also a member of the Quality Control Society. Ms. Fauteux was a member of the St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Parish in South Attleboro. She was a summer resident of Weirs Beach, NH; where boating and jet-skiing were favorite pastimes. Claire loved to travel and go to the casino. While at home she fancied herself as an interior designer, landscaper and gardener. Claire also enjoyed listening, singing and dancing to all types of music. In addition to her companion of forty-five years; Claire is survived by her sister: Janet Cianci of Bradenton, FL; her godchild and niece: Terry C. Bombard and her husband Mike, of North Kingstown, RI; two nephews: Robert J. Waburton and his wife, Lori of North Kingstown, RI; Gary Waburton of Calistoga, CA; step-sisters: Arlene Bevilacqua of Warwick, RI and Lorraine Mailhot of North Attleboro; her extended family: Donna Hart and her late husband Raymond, Ryan, Kristen and Katelyn Hart, and their dog, Shadow, all of South Attleboro; her longtime friends: Lorraine Heroux of Central Falls, RI; Alice Duphily and Alice Beaulieu both of North Attleboro; several great-nieces, great-nephews, and many other dear friends. She was the sister of the late Rene A. Frechette, step-sister of the late Norman Mailhot and dear friend of the late Myrtle "Myrt" C. (Mikula) Mang, who passed away August 5, 2013. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Childrens room is available during the visitation. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend the funeral service on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 8:30 AM from the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home North Attleboro followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Church, 18 Baltic Street, South Attleboro. Burial to follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket, RI.
