Christopher Francis Cronin, Jr.

Christopher Francis Cronin, Jr., 63, of Plainville, MA, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. Born on February 20, 1954 in Attleboro, MA, he was the son of the late Christopher Francis Cronin, Sr. and the late Lillian F. (McDonald) Cronin.Christopher was a longtime resident of North Attleboro, MA before moving to Plainville. A graduate of North Attleborough High School, Class of 1973, he worked for more than twenty-five years for the North Attleborough Department of Public Works before his retirement. He enjoyed traveling, especially to Ireland and to Florida; skiing; going to the beach, particularly to Round Meadows Beach in Little Compton, RI; and could often be found enjoying working on his lawn and flower gardens. He attended St. Mark's Church in Attleboro Falls. More than anything else in his life, Christopher truly loved spending time with his family.He was the cherished and beloved father of Christopher Francis Cronin, III, of Plainville, MA, and Hayley D. Cronin of Austin, TX. He was the dear brother of Patricia A. Cronin-Sevigny of Plymouth, MA; Barry W. Cronin and his wife, Susan H. (Rickard) Cronin, of North Attleboro, MA; and Thomas H. Cronin and his wife, Janet M. (Randall) Cronin, of North Attleboro, MA. He leaves his nieces, Kelley P. Cronin and Shannon H. Nadeau, and many dear friends.
