Christine (Katsigianis) Mullen, 65, of Raymond A. Sampson Drive, North Attleboro, formerly of Wrentham, died on Thursday morning, November 10, 2011 at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. She was the beloved wife of Martin Joseph Mullen, Sr. to whom she was married on June 6, 1965. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on December 13, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Rita (Deveux) Katsigianis. Raised and educated in Boston, Mrs. Mullen was a 1963 graduate of Roslindale High School. She was a dedicated and devoted homemaker to her family. A resident of North Attleboro for the past four years, she previously resided in Wrentham for 38 years. With her family she attended St. Mark Roman Catholic Church in the Attleboro Falls section of North Attleboro. She will be lovingly remembered for enjoying the simple moments of life and how happy those little things made her. A loving grandmother known as Nana, she cherished the times spent with her seven grandchildren playing cards, creating crafts and baking. A fan of Disneyworld, she collected Disney memorabilia and enjoyed visits to the attraction on numerous occasions. The entire family traveled to the park and spent Christmas 2008 there creating lifelong memories to cherish. An ardent traveler, she enjoyed trips to Nashville, Tennessee where she enjoyed country music and taking cruises throughout the Caribbean. In addition to her husband of 46 years, she leaves three children: Martin J. Mullen, Jr. and his wife, Christina A. (Penick) Mullen, of Charlton; Rhonda L. Peers and her husband, James A. Peers, of Norton and Cheryl L. Gentile and her husband, Richard A. Gentile, of North Attleboro; seven grandchildren: Hayley V. Gentile of North Attleboro; Caroline C. Peers of Norton; Cameron R. Gentile of North Attleboro; Jacob A. Peers of Norton and Kendall V. Mullen, Martin J. Mullen, III and Emery A. Mullen all of Charlton; a brother: Peter Katsigianis, Jr. and his wife, Mary Katsigianis, of Wrentham; a brother-in-law: Robert Mahady, husband of her late twin sister, Karol Mahady, of Attleboro; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends. Thomas A. Frechette, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Towne Street, Attleboro Falls. An invitation to join the family for continued fellowship and refreshments will be extended at the conclusion of services.
