Charles Joseph Renoni

Charles Joseph Renoni, 86, of Eagle Boulevard, Land O' Lakes, Florida; formerly of Flora Road, Attleboro died peacefully at his residence surrounded by his loving family on Monday, June 11, 2012. He was the husband of Janice E. (Crowley) Renoni to whom he was married on August 3, 1991 and was the husband of the late Faith E. (Greenman) Renoni. Born in Reading, Pennsylvania on November 18, 1925, he was a son of the late Vincenzo and Vincenza (Ciulla) Renoni. Mr. Renoni received a certificate in commercial art from Vesper George School of Art in Boston and his certificate in vocational education from Fitchburg State College. Mr. Renoni proudly served his nation as a member of the United States Navy during World War II. Mr. Renoni resided in Attleboro prior to moving to Land O' Lakes almost 20 years ago. He was a Graphic Arts teacher at Attleboro High School for many years and served as the past president of the Attleboro Educational Association and had been employed by the Massachusetts Teacher's Association in the Professional Development Department. An avid skier and golfer, Mr. Renoni enjoyed traveling and cruising as well as working on his computer. There wasn't a new electrical gadget he wasn't interested in owning. Mr. Renoni was a member of the 4th Order Knights of Columbus at St. Mary's Church in Tampa, Florida. In Florida, Mr. Renoni was a communicant of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Land O' Lakes and prior to moving to Florida, he was a communicant of St. Mark Roman Catholic Church in Attleboro Falls. In addition to his wife of 20 years, he leaves four children: Judith Hebert and her husband, Raymond Hebert, of North Attleboro; Linda Johnson and her husband, Dan Johnson, of Lutz, Florida; Ron Renoni and his wife, Naomi Meyer, of Greenwich, New York and Richard Renoni and his wife, Bette (Bliss) Renoni, of Attleboro; eight grandchildren: Kim Simone and her husband, Michael Simone; Matthew Hebert, Kevin Johnson, Danielle Contray and her husband, Jeff Contray; Ari Renoni, Tivona Renoni, David Renoni and his wife, Christina Renoni; and Brian Renoni and his wife, Beth Renoni; four great grandsons; a sister: Margaret Scarpa of Winthrop and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. He was the brother of the late Phillip Rinone, Joseph Rinone, Anna Indelicato and Nicholas Renoni. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation with Veteran's Honors on Father's Day, Sunday, June 17, 2012 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the funeral on Monday, June 18, 2012 at 8:45 AM from the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, Stanley Street, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro with the Rev. Thomas A. Frechette, Pastor, officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, Mount Hope Street, North Attleboro.
