Charles Kenneth Meunier, Sr., 74, of The Villages, FL, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Alice J. (Cavanagh) Meunier, and the late Carol F. (Lamson) Meunier, who died on February 13, 2008.Born on November 28, 1941, in Pawtucket, RI, he was the son of the late Arthur Meunier and the late Amelia (Rainey) Meunier.A graduate of William E. Tolman Senior High School, he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Bryant University. Mr. Meunier worked for more than forty years in Rhode Island for Valley Resources, Inc., New England Gas Company, and National Grid, where he held a number of positions until his retirement, most recently as Senior Vice President of Operations. A resident of Florida and Burrillville, RI, he had lived in North Attleboro, MA for many years. He was an active member of Sacred Heart Church in North Attleboro, and was involved in a number of civic and professional organizations throughout his life. Mr. Meunier served as the Chairman of the Operating Division Board of Directors of the New England Gas Association, was a past President of the Rotary Club of Cumberland-Lincoln (RI), a member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce. He loved the game of golf, and was an active and longtime member of the Pawtucket Country Club. Of all his accomplishments, his greatest satisfaction and joy came from his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he so adored.In addition to his wife, Alice, Mr. Meunier is survived by his beloved children: Lynne A. (Meunier) Miale and her husband, Christopher M. Miale, of Lincoln, RI; and Charles Kenneth Meunier, Jr., and his spouse, Dmitry Alashov, of London, England. He was the brother of Annette (Meunier) Castro of Pawtucket, RI and Ralph Meunier of Sterling, MA. Mr. Meunier was the cherished grandfather of Devon Bousquet, Jolene Depointe, Joseph Yankee, and Tara Yankee; and dear great-grandfather of John Williamson, Paige Williamson, Addison Ezovski, and Chloe Bousquet. He leaves many nieces and nephews.
