Charles R. Dubuc, Sr., 80, of East Street, Attleboro, died on Friday, February 8, 2013 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital following a period of declining health. He was the husband of Doris M. (Desroschers) Dubuc with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage on October 18, 2012. Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on March 20, 1932, he was a son of the late Arthur and Marie A. (Maigret) Dubuc. He was raised and educated in Attleboro where he remained a lifelong resident. Mr. Dubuc was employed at Leach & Garner in Attleboro for many years prior to his retirement in 1994. He was a lifelong communicant of the former St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Attleboro and more recently he was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Attleboro. His favorite pastimes included traveling to see family, spending time in his flower and vegetable gardens, golfing and bowling and being a dedicated fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. In addition to his wife of 60 years, he leaves four children: Charles R. Dubuc, Jr. of Salt Lake City, Utah; Lynn M. Henderson of Eagle River, Alaska; Christy Dubuc-Pierce of Warwick and Sue Dubuc-Rodgers of Alexandria, Louisiana; eleven grandchildren: Jennifer Jennings, Charles R. Dubuc III, Katherine Harmon, Jody Otto, Melissa Crowe, Tracy Raska, Elizabeth Robideau, Ellen Pierce, Adrian Pierce, Jemma Lortie and Preston Lortie; four great grandchildren; three sisters: Adrienne Messier of Attleboro Falls; Geraldine Gallagher of Maitland, Florida and Gloria Turcotte in Tennessee and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. He was the brother of the late Arthur D. Dubuc, Roderick Dubuc, Rene Dubuc, Jean Dubuc and Jeanine Ouellette. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on THURSDAY, February 14, 2012 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on the left) Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.
