Charles Edward Curtis, 87, of Plainville, MA, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 21, 2021.
Born and raised in Roslindale, he was the son of the late Charles and Alice (Gilloon) Curtis and brother of the late Mary. He was the beloved husband of the late Marilyn Curtis, to whom he was married for 50 years.
He is survived by son Charles Curtis and his wife Patricia, son Glenn Curtis, and daughter Cynthia Curtis and her fiancé Mark LaFerriere. He is also survived by grandchildren David Curtis and his wife Kathrin Cieplicki, Leah Curtis, Brady Lynn LaFerriere and Brenna Lynn LaFerriere.
He will also be missed dearly by his grand-dogs, who wagged their tails whenever "Pop" was around.
Charles loved taking boat cruises with Marilyn and traveling with his best friend, Joe Rull. A lifelong athlete, Charles coached sports teams and loved cheering on his grandchildren in their own athletics. He was renowned for his amazing singing voice and often visited local nursing homes to sing to residents.
An honored veteran of the U.S. Military, Charles will be remembered as a wonderful and caring individual who brought a smile to all who knew him.
