Charles James Campbell, Jr., 75, of Norton, MA, peacefully passed away on Monday, December 26, 2016 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI. He was the loving and beloved husband of Patricia Irwin (Fairweather) Campbell, to whom he was wed on May 6, 1967.Born on February 13, 1941 in Hyde Park, MA, he was the son of the late Charles James Campbell, Sr., and the late Ellen Norwood (Sinclair) Campbell. Ordained as a Minister by the Church of the Nazarene of North Attleboro, MA, he was for more than twenty years the proud owner and operator of J & C Cleaning Company in Norton before retiring. A resident of Norton for many years, he previously resided in Wrentham, MA. He was a member of the Calvary Chapel of Raynham, and had been the Associate Pastor of the Framingham Church of the Nazarene. For sixteen years he ministered with his wife at Life Care Center of Raynham, and he conducted Bible studies at area Dunkin Donuts. Charles met his wife at the school for officers training for the Salvation Army in the Bronx, New Year, and then together they lovingly raised their family.In addition to his wife, Patricia, he is survived by his cherished children: Charles "C.J." James Campbell, III, of Marion, MA and his wife, Kristen St. Don Campbell, of Marion, MA; and Carol Joy (Campbell) Ortiz and her husband, Gary Ortiz, of Norton, MA. He leaves his treasured grandchildren: Oakley Cody St. Don Campbell of Marion, MA; Holden James St. Don Campbell of Marion, MA; and Josiah Daniel Campbell of Norfolk, MA. Charles was the brother of Norma (Campbell) Knight and her husband, John Knight, of Norfolk, MA; Ellen (Campbell) Strang and her late husband, John Strang, of Plainville, MA; and the brother-in-law of Verda Wood and her late husband, Al Wood, of Meadville, PA. He leaves several nieces and nephews and many friends.Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at the Calvary Chapel of Raynham, 1002 Broadway, Raynham, MA.
