Chad Edward Stephen, 42, of Omaha Boulevard, Warwick, RI, passed away unexpectedly on September 2, 2015 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Elissa Parkinson-Stephen, to whom he was married on October 23, 2004. Born in Attleboro, MA on July 31, 1973, he was a son of John R. Stephen and the late Sheila May (Coupe) Stephen, who died on July 17, 2009. Chad was a graduate of Attleboro High School, Class of 1991, attended Dean Junior College, and received his nursing degree from Community College of Rhode Island. He was employed by Oak Hill Health & Rehabilitation Center in Pawtucket, RI as a Nurse and Floor Manager, and as a Nurse by United HealthCare. Prior to living in Warwick, Chad was a resident of Cranston, RI. He enjoyed music and playing his guitar. Over the years, Chad delighted in playing as a member of various bands. He also enjoyed cooking. Chad especially found love and comfort in his family, and the companionship of his three cats and his devoted companion, "Jake". In addition to his wife, Elissa, Chad is survived by his father, John R. Stephen of South Attleboro, MA; his brother, John A. Stephen of South Attleboro, MA; his wife's parents: Richard and Lorraine Parkinson; his brother-in-law, Adam Parkinson of Johnston, RI; several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and many dear friends. Visitation has been respectfully omitted. Burial services will be private.
