Cettarose (Fiumara) Carson of Attleboro always saw beauty everywhere she looked. A self-trained artist and interior decorator, Mrs. Carson, who was called "Tina" by family and friends, had a gift for seeing what could be, rather than what was. She used her talents to transform the most ordinary objects, rooms and buildings into true works of art. She was never constricted by logistics or timing and never looked for easy solutions, but worked tirelessly to turn her visions into reality and did so with a passion that inspired everyone and everything she touched. As a result, many homes and businesses in the area have been enriched with her lovely paintings, murals and hand-painted furniture. Many of her friends have also found their lives so much brighter thanks to her kindness and generous spirit. She loved antiques, vintage items and unusual jewelry. She would often be found with a bowl of Hershey kisses by her side while she painted. Mrs. Carson died in her home on Sunday at the age of 61 after a very brief illness. In her last days, she was surrounded by the people and things she loved. Even on her deathbed, she was more worried about others than she was about herself. The daughter of the late Dominic and Margaret Fiumara of Boston, Mrs. Carson leaves behind her devoted husband and soul mate of 40 years, Francis "Michael" Carson; her daughter Juliette Gaboury and son-in-law Matthew Gaboury and their children, Benjamin, Ethan, Alexis, Austin, Olivia, Jackson, Nathaniel and Ava; and her daughter Emily Rose Johnson and son-in-law Jeremy Johnson and their daughter Tallullah and unborn baby who is due in June. Mrs. Carson was very proud of her family and leaves them many happy memories to comfort them as they struggle to adjust to life without her. She made her wishes clear that she did not want her loved ones to mourn after her passing, but rather to celebrate her life and to cherish all of the special times they shared over the years. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to join the immediate family and attend a memorial visitation honoring Mrs. Carson's memory on Monday evening, April 9, 2012 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.
