Carolyn L. Sabourin

Carolyn L. (Stephens) Sabourin, 79, of Central Falls, Rhode Island and North Attleboro, MA passed away on August 4, 2021, at the Brentwood Nursing Home in Warwick, Rhode Island following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Wilfred "Pete" Joseph Sabourin and was the companion of Robert "Bob" P. Bonin of North Attleboro, MA with whom she shared 31 years.
Born in Fyffe, Alabama on June 19, 1942, she was a daughter of the late James Stephens and the late Vela (Blackwell) Stephens. She had been a resident of North Attleboro, MA for many years.
Mrs. Sabourin was employed as a certified production inspector for Texas Instruments for many years prior to her retirement in 2008.
Previously she was employed by Shore Boulevard Meats and as an office worker in Boston, MA.
She was an adventurous woman having enjoyed hot air ballooning, parasailing, helicopter rides and white water rafting.
Carolyn had an insatiable love for learning new things, taking mystery rides, working around her home and gardening.
As an artistic and creative woman, she enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, needlework, crocheting, painting, and making dolls and doilies.
She was a member of the Narragansett Terrace Yacht Club.
Although a woman of diverse interests and hobbies, the thing she loved most was her family and will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, loving companion, sister and aunt.
Left to mourn her loss are her loving children: Michael J. Sabourin and his wife, Kristen Sabourin, of Stratford, CT; Stephen T. Sabourin and his wife, Cindy A. Sabourin, of Hope Rhode Island; Carol Lynn Eliason and her husband, Eric A. Eliason, of Coventry, Rhode Island; James R. Sabourin of Warwick, Rhode Island and Cheryl L. Holder and her husband, Jerry M. Holder, of Cameron, North Carolina; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a brother: Larry Stephens of Fyffe, Alabama; a sister: Deborah Gee and her husband, Lou Gee, of Port St. Lucie, Florida; sister-in-law: Dee Souza and her husband, Bob Souza, of Cumberland, RI; several nieces, nephews, extended family, dear friends and members of the Bonin family.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro,MA. A Celebration of Life Service will commence at the conclusion of visitation at 7:00 p.m.
Inurnment will be private at Swan Point Cemetery Columbarium, Blackstone Boulevard, Providence, Rhode Island.
In lieu of flowers and in memory of Carolyn, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
