Carolina Zaldivar Haggarty, 41, of Henry B. Riordan Way, North Attleboro, died on Monday, December 15, 2014 at the Massachusetts General Hospital following a six month illness. She was the beloved wife of Dr. Kristofer Haggarty to whom she was married on June 9, 2001. Born in Flint, Michigan on November 23, 1973, she was a daughter of Maria Estela (Agular) Zaldivar of Mexico City, Mexico and the late Marco Antonio Zaldivar. Raised and educated in Mexico, Ms. Zaldivar earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from la Universidad Nuevo Mundo. She resided in North Attleboro for the past eleven years having previously resided in the City of Boston for four years. Ms. Zaldivar was employed as a graphic designer at 47 Brand in Brockton for the past twelve years. She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in North Attleboro. Her favorite times were those spent creating lifelong memories with her young family to cherish forever. She will be missed by all for her kindness, loving nature and innate ability to make everyone feel special. She lived life the way she wanted to live it and kept all of her friends close to her heart. She was an extraordinary woman, mother, wife and friend. Carolina's favorite pastimes included painting , travelling and playing tennis. She was an avid New England Patriots fan and loved tailgating with her many friends. She earned her black belt in Krav Maga and kickboxing from America's Best Defense in North Attleboro and was a member of the Abbott Run Valley Club in Cumberland where she won the mixed doubles tennis championship twice and also a member at the Fore Court Racquet Club in Cumberland, Rhode Island. She enjoyed competing in USTA matches. In addition to her husband of 13 years and her mother, she leaves two sons: Daniel Haggarty and Samuel Haggarty both of North Attleboro; two sisters: Jacqueline Zaldivar and Michelle Zaldivar both of Mexico City, Mexico; a nephew: Jack L. Haggarty; a niece: Karolina Roldan; extended family members; several members of her husband's family and many friends. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Friday, December 19, 2014 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend the funeral on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 8:30 AM from the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Park Street, North Attleboro with Rev. David A. Costa, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be private. Following the Memorial Mass an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced.
