Carol P. Carlson, 88 of Attleboro Falls, MA, formerly East Glenville, New York, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2023, at the Branches Assisted Living Community where she has resided for the past two years.
Born in Worcester, MA in 1934, Carol was the daughter of the late Charles Warren and Evelyn Page and the sister of the late Warren Page.
She spent many summers as a youth at camps, as Campfire Girl and then as a camp counselor. Carol was a member of Sigma Kappa while attending college at UMASS Amherst and graduated with a Home Economics Education degree in 1957.
After college, Carol moved to Schenectady, NY and taught Junior High and High School classes in the Schenectady School District and also worked for the Cornell Cooperative Extension as a Home Demonstration Agent.
It was in Schenectady that Carol met Jerry Carlson. They were married in 1959 and were able to celebrate over 50 years together before his passing.
In addition to raising a family, Carol was a 4-H leader for 10 years and also led a specialized club training 4-H Teen Ambassadors. She was a 40-year member and Regent of the Schenactada Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She ran a successful Shaklee business for several decades with her husband. As Coordinators, they trained and shared with many about wellness and health.
She was also an active member of the East Glenville Community Church and served as a Prayer Chain Leader and also served for a time as the Missions Conference Coordinator. She and her husband we longtime faithful supporters of International Accelerated Missions.
Carol and Jerry were able to travel extensively with their business, on vacations as a couple and with their family. They enjoyed spending winters in Florida and were able to see much of the US and several international destinations as well.
Carol is survived by her children: Wayne Carlson and wife, Michelle, of Attleboro, MA and Sharon Walker and husband, Kenneth, of Berne, NY. We are comforted in knowing that Carol is now rejoicing with her Lord and reunited with Jerry. Our memories of Carol will always include her smile and bright blue eyes.
