Carol Ann F. (Foster) Bachand, 80, of North Attleboro, MA died on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at the Grandview Center in Cumberland, Rhode Island. She was the wife of the late Henry "Hank" William Bachand to whom she was married on September 7, 1968 and who died on January 11, 2015.
Born in Ludlow, MA on October 8, 1940, she was the only child born to the late Gordon F. Foster and the late Mable (Dearborn) Foster. She was a graduate of Classical High School in Springfield, MA and graduated from the American International College and Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York.
A dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother, Mrs. Bachand was employed as an administrative assistant for the former Hilsinger Company in Plainville for more than 20 years prior to her retirement.
A member of Central Congregational Church in the Village of Attleboro Falls since 1970, she previously served as the treasurer of the Memorial Gift Committee, was a member of the Women's Union and loved volunteering every Autumn for the church's annual apple pie drive.
She moved to North Attleboro in 1970 after having previously resided in Foxboro, MA, and Kentucky.
Favorite pastimes included gardening, spending time with her grandchildren, time with her beloved dogs, taking walks in nature and reading a good book.
She leaves her children: Karin E. Marroquin and her husband, Mario Marroquin, of Norton, MA; twin sons: Scott H. Bachand and his wife, Kelliann (O'Donnell) Bachand of North Attleboro, MA and David F. Bachand and his partner, Michael Lou, of Quincy, MA; four grandchildren: Kaitlin and Julie Marroquin both of Norton, MA and Hannah and William Bachand both of North Attleboro, MA; several extended family members and friends.
Visitation is respectfully omitted.
A private graveside service will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021 at North Purchase Cemetery, Attleboro with the Rev. Carole L. Baker, officiating.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held at Central Congregational Church, Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro once it is safe to gather as a congregation.
