Carla S. (Schoen) Woodworth, 94, of Attleboro, MA passed away on March 1, 2021 at Mt. St. Rita's Health Centre in Cumberland, Rhode Island where she resided since last summer. She was the wife of the late Ralph Cooper Woodworth, known simply "Coop" who had been the co-owner and co-operator of L.H. Cooper Co. - Cooper's for short - a news stand; magazine, book, and tobacco vendor; candy shop and soda fountain at the corner of North Main and Park Streets for decades. Mr. and Mrs. Woodworth were married on September 9, 1977. Mr. Woodworth died on May 7, 2012.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland on January 23, 1927, the youngest daughter of the late Charles C. Schoen and the late Cecilia (Brennan).
Mrs. Woodworth was a graduate of Attleboro High School and had resided and worked in Greenwich, CT, Providence, RI and later settled in Attleboro, MA and was employed as a medical secretary by Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA before her marriage.
She was a resident of the City of Attleboro since 1977.
Mrs. Woodworth was a former communicant of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Attleboro, MA and more recently Transfiguration of the Lord Parish - St. Mark in Attleboro Falls, MA.
Carla was the loving aunt to 18 nieces and nephews and their families.
She was predeceased by her sisters: Cecilia "Peggy" Finn, Patricia Antaya, Anita Bottomley and Regina "Jean" Kearney.
A private graveside funeral service will be held in North Purchase Cemetery, 825 North Main Street, Attleboro. MA. Burial will follow.
