Camille E. (Baris) Brousseau, 82, of North Smithfield, Rhode Island, formerly of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025, at Hope Health Hospice in Providence, Rhode Island. She was the cherished wife of the late Jean Roland Brousseau, whom she married on April 8, 1972, and who preceded her in death on July 2, 2012.
She was also predeceased by her sister, Elise Claudia Baris, who died on November 23, 2005, and her sister-in-law and dear friend, Dorothy Brousseau, who passed away on March 12, 2010.
Born on July 23, 1942, in Central Falls, Rhode Island, Camille was the daughter of the late Norman Baris and Jeannette (Phoenix) Baris. She then served as a payroll supervisor at the former Foxboro Company and later at Teknor Apex in Pawtucket, where she dedicated a total of 30 years before retiring.
A faithful communicant of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Roman Catholic Church in Pawtucket, Mrs. Brousseau was deeply involved in her community. She volunteered for many years at the former Community Visiting Nurse Agency in Attleboro.
Camille had a profound appreciation for nature and was a lifelong lover of animals. Her absence will be felt deeply by her numerous friends and family, including three generations of nieces and nephews. Camille was the dependable aunt who created cherished memories through exciting sleepovers, fun vacations, sing-alongs during long car rides, piano duets, movie outings, cookouts, heartfelt conversations, and holidays filled with delightful surprises.
Camille’s retirement was rich with adventure, as she embraced her passion for nature and animals. Her travels included an African Safari, a journey to Iceland, visits with family in Italy, and several sailing excursions along the Coast of Maine.
