Byron Wesley Wheeler III, 70, of North Attleboro, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. Born on March 2, 1947 in Montclair, NJ, he was the son of the late Byron Wesley Wheeler, Jr., and the late Juliaette M. (Barradale) Wheeler.Byron proudly and honorably served our country in the United States Army. He was a graduate of Columbia High School in Maplewood, NJ, Lake Forest College, and the Tuck School of Business Administration of Dartmouth College, and worked for many years as a Computer Software Specialist until his retirement in 2010. A resident of North Attleboro since 1996, he had a love of food and genuinely enjoyed cooking. He was an avid reader who enjoyed transportation technology, attending air shows, and was fascinated with railway steam engines. Byron loved spending time and being with his family. He is survived by his beloved children: Julianna E. Makos and her husband, Christopher M. Makos, of Glen Mills, PA; and Katherine M. Harrison and her husband, George F. Harrison IV, of Newfoundland, PA. He was the adoring grandfather of Zachary R. Makos, George F. Harrison V, and Sage E. Harrison. He was the dear brother of Marian E. Conn of Avon Lake, OH, and Caroline W. Jacobus and her husband, Robert L. Jacobus, of Bristol, RI. Byron leaves his dear and very special friend, Ken Kawasaki of Bristol, CT, and several nieces and nephews. All services will be private.
