Brian Robert Hogan, 54, of North Attleboro, MA passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 26, 2021 at his residence. He was the husband of Kymm A. (Hartford) Hogan whom he married on June 27, 1993.
Born in Boston, MA on February 16, 1967, he was a son of Robert Talbot Hogan and Virginia "Ginny" Marie (Nolan) Hogan both of East Bridgewater, MA. He was a 1985 graduate of Don Bosco Technical High School in Boston and earned his Bachelor's degree in business management from Boston College. He graduated from the College for Financial Planning in November 2010 as a Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist.
He was a resident of North Attleboro for the past 22 years. Upon moving to the community, he became involved in town activities including the "Yes for North" campaign and the Little North Attleboro League.
A man of strong religious convictions, Brian was a communicant of the Transfiguration of the Lord Parish - St. Mark in Attleboro Falls, MA.
He will be remembered as a gregarious person and for always taking the "long way around" in his travels. Brian enjoyed playing golf, dining out and drives to Brant Rock Beach in Marshfield. He enjoyed the tranquility of sitting in a chair, reading a book on the seashore. Brian treasured the times spent at Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire and on Cape Cod.
He was a financial services professional with extensive experience in operations, customer service, product management and marketing.
For the past five years he was employed as a product manager for Ascensus, a financial services company. Brian held various positions with Fidelity Investments in Smithfield, Rhode Island from 1998 until 2016. He had also been employed by Putnam Investments in Franklin, MA from April 1996 to December 1998.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was the proud father of four boys: Patrick James Hogan of Attleboro and Benjamin Porter Hogan, Zachary Brian Hogan, and Timothy William Hogan, all of North Attleboro, MA; his siblings: Sheila Sheldon of Weymouth, MA and William Hogan of Whitman, MA; his mother-in-law: Ellie M. (Porter) Hartford of Weymouth, MA and his wife's siblings: Tracy Nolan of Southport, CT; Donna Durkin of Franklin, MA; and William J. Hartford of Franklin, MA.
Brian also leaves several nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, and colleagues.
With strict adherence to applicable Covid-19 health precautions, including social distancing and the use of facemasks, family and friends are cordially invited to honor Brian by attending Visitation in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, on Monday, March 8, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
A Private funeral will be held from the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 followed by a Private Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at the Transfiguration of the Lord Parish - St. Mary, Park Street, North Attleboro.
