Bradley N. Hawes, 67, Moosup, CT, formerly of Attleboro, MA and North Attleboro, MA, passed away at his residence surrounded by the love of his family on January 29, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Debra A. (Sawyer/Brodeur) Hawes.
Born in Attleboro, MA on April 27, 1957, he was a son of the late Shirley K. (Smith) Hawes. He was raised and educated in North Attleboro, MA. In earlier years, he was a communicant of Transfiguration of the Lord Parish - St. Mary.
Although not a veteran, he was a proud American Patriot.
He was employed as a maintenance technician for the BP Corporation in Woonsocket, Rhode Island prior to his retirement. Previously, he was employed at General Metal Finishing in Attleboro, MA. He was the previous owner of Open Road Cycles in Blackstone, MA.
His favorite pastimes included, tinkering with his hands, time with his motorcycles and working on anything with an engine. Additionally, he enjoyed collecting cowboy hats and accessories and watching Westerns and NASCAR. His family recalls with love and affection all the happy times and memories he created when they all enjoyed camping and boating.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his children: Lindsey M. Gaumond and her husband, Josh Gaumond, of South Attleboro, MA; Kimberly Brodeur and her wife, Beth Brodeur, of Moosup, CT and Derek Brodeur and his wife, Diana, of Chepachet, RI; his grandchildren: Raegan Lynn Gaumond, Kaylee Bastien, Carysa Bastien, Nathan Brodeur, Nicholas Brodeur; his great grandchildren: Colton Handren and Serenity Handren and several nieces and nephews.
Private visitation and funeral services were held on Monday, February 10, 2025, in the “Memorial Chapel” of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
Burial was private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Brad’s name may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
