Blanche Delia (Clairmont) Fontaine Cerreto, 90, of Chestnut Street, North Attleboro, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence, RI after a brief illness. She is survived by her husband of seven years, Joseph L. Cerreto of North Attleboro. She was the wife of the late Wilfred Fontaine, who died on August 15, 2001. Blanche was born in Franklin, MA on February 14, 1923. She was a daughter of the late Aime Philip and Dora (Gelinas) Clairmont. Among her favorite pastimes were knitting, crocheting and cooking. Blanche also enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino. She cherished her children, grandchildren and family above all else. She was loved and admired by all who knew her, and will be greatly missed and fondly remembered always. Mrs. Fontaine Cerreto was a member of the former Holy Ghost Church , now known as the St. Vincent de Paul Church in Attleboro. In addition to her husband, Joseph; Blanche leaves behind two sons: Wilfred A. Fontaine and his wife, Carol Fontaine, of Attleboro; Roger A. Fontaine and his wife, Janis Fontaine of Uxbridge; and a daughter: Theresa A. Despots of Attleboro. She also leaves five grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Aime Clairmont, Rose Levesque and Antoinette "Ann" Vogt. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a memorial service on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home-the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Children's room available during the memorial service. Burial will be private in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Attleboro, MA.
