Beryl Kenerson Foster

Beryl (Kenerson) Foster, 102, of Attleboro, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Life Care Center of Attleboro in Attleboro, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late Stewart Sabin Foster who died on June 7, 1985.Born in Plainville, MA, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Lillian (Murchy) Kenerson.Mrs. Foster was a graduate of Plainville High School, Class of 1933, and Burdett College Business School. She retired in 1978 after having been employed for many years as a Private Secretary for Earl C. Foster and Son and at the Plainville Stock Company.Prior to living in Attleboro, she had resided in North Attleboro since 1938, and had been a longtime active member of Central Congregational Church and a past President of the Women's Union at the church. An active, engaging, and generous woman, she had volunteered her time for the North Attleboro Council of Aging, and was an avid knitter who also enjoyed cross-stitching and working at her husband's business in her younger years. She especially cherished spending time with her family.Mrs. Foster was the loving mother of Douglas B. Foster and his wife, Kathleen A. (Hamilton) Foster, of South Attleboro, MA and Port Charlotte, FL; and Donna A. Baker of North Attleboro, MA and Hilton Head Island, SC, and her late husband, Richard H. Baker. She also leaves her daughter-in-law Joyce E. Foster. She was the grandmother of James Douglas Foster of Ashley Falls, MA; and Kimberly Foster Lachut of Plainville, MA; and the great-grandmother of Justin Douglas Foster, John Frank Lachut, and Michael Foster Lachut. Mrs. Foster was predeceased by her brothers: Robert Kenerson and Burton Murchy. She leaves several nieces and nephews, her extended family, and her grand-dog, "Tucker".Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 Noon in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon at Dyer-Lake Funeral Home.Burial will immediately follow on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 in North Purchase Cemetery, at which time she will be laid to rest alongside her dear late husband.A children's room is available during the visitation and funeral service.Those in need of a local ride to the visitation may call the funeral home at (508) 695-0200 to make an advance reservation for such complimentary transportation.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Central Congregational Church, 115 Commonwealth Avenue, North Attleboro, MA 02763.
