Bertha A. O'Boyle

Bertha A. (Kelly) O'Boyle, 99, of Attleboro, MA, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Golden Living Center Garden Place in Attleboro. She was the wife of the late William G. O'Boyle who died on April 27, 1984. Born In Taunton, MA on July 26, 1916, she was a daughter of the late William Kelly and Florence M. (MacFarlane) Kelly. Mrs. O'Boyle was a graduate of Norton High School in Norton, MA, and was employed for many years as a Clerk and an Inspector for L.G. Balfour Co. in Attleboro before retiring in 1982. She was a resident of Attleboro for more than sixty years. She was a former member of the Centenary United Methodist Church in Attleboro, where she was a member of the Parmenter Circle, and was a member of the Balfour Gold Dusters. She was very proud of, and treasured, her five generations of family lineage. Mrs. O'Boyle is survived by her beloved children: daughter, Nancy E. Doherty of Attleboro, MA; and son, William A. O'Boyle, and his wife, Marianne E. (Rahe) O'Boyle, of West Yarmouth, MA; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; and her extended family. She was the longtime companion of Peter Madsen of Pawtucket, RI. Mrs. O'Boyle was the sister of the late Alice B. Woodward, Madeline Gray, Robert Kelly, Ernest Kelly, Floyd Kelly, and Walter Kelly. She was the grandmother of the late Amy A. O'Boyle. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend Visitation on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 from 9:45 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend Mrs. O'Boyle's Funeral immediately following visitation on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home. Burial will be follow at North Purchase Cemetery, Attleboro. Children's room is available during visitation funeral.
