Bernice "Nana" R. Gould

Bernice "Nana" R. (Michelson) Gould, 96, of Attleboro, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. Born on July 28, 1919 in New Bedford, MA, she was the daughter of the late Henry Michelson and the late Blanche (Farley) Michelson.Bernice resided in North Attleboro for more than sixty years, where she raised her family and worked as a high school matron for the North Attleboro school department before retiring in 1985.She found immense joy in her role as a homemaker, and treasured time spent with her ever expanding family. She always enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and swimming at the YMCA.She is survived by her five beloved children: Maxwell G. Gould and his wife, Eileen M. (Dupelle) Gould, of North Attleboro, MA; Linda L. (Gould) Wallace and her husband, Robert Wallace, of Gurnee, IL; Michael P. Gould, Sr., and his wife, Diane H. Gould, of North Attleboro, MA; Mark S. Gould of Plainville, MA; and LeeAnn (Gould) Conley of Chatham, MA. She leaves her cherished fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.Bernice was the former wife of the late Maxwell Gould, and was predeceased by nine siblings. She was the dear grandmother of the late Matthew Stephen Gould who died on December 26, 2012, and his wife, Deborah (Clark) Gould of North Attleboro, MA. A private graveside funeral service will be held at the Mt. Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, North Attleboro, with the Rev. David A.
