Bernard J. Barselou, 85, of Chester Street, Attleboro, died on Monday, June 22, 2015. He was the beloved husband of the late Pauline M. (Laliberte) Barselou. Born in Fall River, Massachusetts on August 26, 1929, he was the son of the late Pierre and Alice (Rioux) Barselou. He was a 1948 graduate of Prevost High School in Fall River. Mr. Barselou proudly served with the United States Army during the Korean War and he was employed by the United States Postal Service for 35 years prior to his retirement. A man of strong religious convictions, he was an active communicant of the former St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Attleboro where he was a Eucharistic Minister and member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Mr. Barselou was the treasurer for the Boy Scouts of America - Troop #37, Attleboro. He leaves his children: Katherine A. (Barselou) Tameo of Barrington, Rhode Island; Carol A. (Barselou) Carpenter and her husband, Brian L. Carpenter, of Berkley and Michael B. Barselou and his wife, Celia (Joly) Barselou, of Haverhill; his grandchildren: Melissa Desrochers, Matthew Tameo, Jacob Carpenter and Dylan Carpenter. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Friday, June 26, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, North Attleboro. A Funeral Service with Veteran's Honors will immediately follow visitation on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 7:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of Dyer-Lake Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 473 S Street W #13, Raynham, MA 02767.
