Barry Ashley Wood, 43, of Dighton Avenue, Taunton, formerly of Attleboro; died of natural causes at his residence on September 16, 2005 following a brief illness. He was the husband of Barbara A. (LaPlante) Wood to whom he was married on August 28, 1993. Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on August 29, 1962, he was a son of Marilyn B. (Maigret) Wood of Plainville and the late Milton Lewis Wood. He was raised and educated in the City of Attleboro where he resided until moving to Taunton 13 years ago. Mr. Wood was a veteran of the United States Army. He was employed as the warehouse manager for M & G Industries, Inc. in Bristol, Rhode Island at the time of his death. A devout sports enthusiast, he particularly enjoyed the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed golf, watching NASCAR, fishing and camping. In addition to his wife and mother, he leaves a daughter: Christle Marie Courtney of Taunton; a granddaughter whom he was proudly raising: Arianna J. Teixeira of Taunton; his twin brother: Jeffrey B. Wood of Atlanta, Georgia; two additional brothers: Scott L. Wood of New Ipswich, New Hampshire and Robert Davignon of North Attleboro; a sister: Michelle Roberts of Seekonk; a dear aunt: Joan Fraatz of Norton and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Nicole L. Birch and the late R. Douglas Davignon. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend and participate in a Service of Reflection and Memories on Thursday, September 22, 2005 at 8:00 PM in the ?Commonwealth Chapel? of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2005 from 2:00 ? 4:00 and 6:00 ? 9:00 PM in the ?Commonwealth Chapel? of the funeral home. Private burial will be held in the family lot in Woodlawn Cemetery, Attleboro. Children?s room available during visitation.
