Barbara (Spencer) Parker, 95, of Attleboro, MA passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wrentham, MA. She was the wife of the late John H. Parker, former longtime Attleboro City Council member and mayoral candidate.Born in Chelsea, MA on August 14, 1927, she was a daughter of the late John A. Spencer and the late Gladys M. (Frasier) Spencer. Raised and educated in Newton, Mrs. Parker was a 1945 graduate of Newton High School.Barbara was employed as a bookkeeper in the manufacturing industry for many years but primarily was a dedicated homemaker to her family.In earlier years, she was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church, Attleboro, MA.She treasured the times spent at the family home in Washington, NH where she was able to spend time amongst her precious chipmunks that she can hand-feed. Playing cards, loving her dogs, baking, gardening and sewing were among other favorite pastimes.Left to cherish shared memories are her son: Jeffrey S.
