Bahiya Bishara Awwad, 89, of Jenna Drive, Attleboro, died at her residence surrounded by the love of her family on Tuesday, March 17, 2015. She was the wife of the late Gabra Awwad who died 11 years ago. Born in Bethlehem, Jerusalem on February 26, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Bishara and Maryiam (Awwad) Awwad. She immigrated to the United States in 2007. She leaves her son: Elia J. Awwad, with whom she made her home in Attleboro; a daughter: Mary Awwad of St. Louis, Missouri; 10 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends around the globe. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Thursday, March 19, 2015 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a Funeral Service on Friday, March 20, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Annunciation, 175 Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston, Rhode Island. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, West Street, Attleboro. There will be no funeral cortege from the funeral home prior to the commencement of funeral services.
