B. Jean Dieterle

October 18, 1931 — February 22, 2024

Bethia Jean (Trainor) Dieterle, affectionately known simply as "Jean", 92, of Attleboro, MA passed away at the Life Care Center of Attleboro on February 22, 2024, after having been a resident at the facility for the past eight years.  She was the wife of Clifford E. Dieterle, Jr. to whom she was married on May 18, 1957.
Born in Attleboro, MA on October 18, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Trainor and the late Mary (McCarty) Trainor, who immigrated to the United States from Canada.
Jean was raised and educated in the City of Attleboro where she graduated from Attleboro High School and earned an associate's degree from the former Bryant College in Providence, RI having majored in secretarial services.
She was employed as an executive secretary for the president of Metals and Controls in Attleboro and continued after the company was acquired by Texas Instruments.
A woman of strong religious virtues, Mrs. Dieterle was a lifelong communicant of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Attleboro where she volunteered as a secretary, served on the Ladies Guild and was active in the annual Christmas Bazaar.
She enjoyed knitting and sewing and creating family memories at the family home on Onset Beach and, in later years, the time spent at the Dieterle home in Florida.
In addition to her husband , she leaves her three children: Scott P. Dieterle and his wife, Barbara (Stowell) Dieterle of  North Attleboro, MA; Mark C. Dieterle of Putnam, CT and Susan Jean  Sherck and her husband, Aaron Sherck, of  Attleboro, MA; six grandchildren: Roger Dieterle of Attleboro, MA; Matthew Dieterle and his wife, Amanda Dieterle, of Cumberland, RI  and Heather Dieterle of North. Attleboro, MA and A.J. Sherck, Trainor Sherck and Spencer Sherk all of Attleboro, MA and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
She was the sister of the late Agnes Shockro and Olive McLear.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on TUESDAY, February 27, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on FRIDAY, March 1, 2024, at 12:00 noon at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, North Main Street, Attleboro, MA.
Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, West Street, Attleboro, MA.
The Dieterle family expresses their sincere gratitude to the entire staff at the Life Care Center of Attleboro for their loving, caring, attentive care.
