Aurore Thibeault

Aurore (Lavallee) Thibeault, 93, of Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro with her family at her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Jean Edward Thibeault, who passed away on June 2, 2017.Born on February 8, 1925 in Woonsocket, RI, she was the daughter of the late Amedee and Mabel (Nevins) Lavallee.A resident of Attleboro for the past sixty years, she previously lived for thirteen years in Vero Beach, FL. Aurore treasured her role as a homemaker, wife and mother. She was a warm, caring, and outgoing woman with many interests. A wonderful cook, she enjoyed arts and crafts, and, in her younger years, playing golf, roller-skating, taking family vacations and trips to Maine and New Hampshire, traveling on cruise ships, visiting the beach, especially in Vero Beach, and the simple pleasures of dining on Chinese food and shrimp cocktail. Aurore delighted in sending notes of love to her children and family with whom she and her husband truly cherished spending time.She was the loving mother of John P. Thibeault and his wife, Janis R. (Scaldini) Thibeault, of Attleboro; Claudia A. (Thibeault) Bliss and her husband, William "Bill" Bliss, of Attleboro; and James "Jamie" A. Thibeault and his wife, Lynn M. (Lacasse) Thibeault, of North Kingstown, RI. Aurore was the proud and adoring grandmother of six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She leaves several nieces and nephews, and was the sister of the late Roland Lavallee and the late Delores (Lavallee) Chupka.All services for Aurore will be privately held in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, RI.
