Athanasios George Mitros

Athanasios George Mitros, 46, of Attleboro, MA passed away unexpectedly on July 20, 2024, at Turkey Hill Pond in Rutland, MA following a jet-ski accident.  He was the beloved husband of Jennifer L. (Harris) Mitros to whom he was married on February 8, 2020.
Born in Boston, MA on July 18, 1978, he was a cherished son of Georgios Mitros and Eugenia (Houtsios) Mitros both of Norwood, MA.  He was raised and educated in Dedham, MA where he was a 1997 graduate of Dedham High School.
Mr. Mitros was currently employed as a journeyman electrician for Aslan Electric in Franklin, MA.
He and his family attended Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Cranston, RI.
Mr. Mitros loved cars especially his Buick Grand National, spending time with family and friends, all time spent on the water in boats and on his jet ski.
In addition to his wife and parents, he leaves his children: Georgios Athanasios Mitros of Norwood, MA; Eleni Christina Mitros of Norwood, MA and Jordan Bernardo and her fiancé, Kyle McCabe, of Attleboro, MA; his siblings: James G. Mitros and his wife, Andria (Topitzis) Mitros of Shrewsbury, MA; a niece: Yianna Mitros of Shrewsbury, MA and extended family members and dear friends.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend Visitation on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
A funeral service to which all are warmly welcome to attend will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at 10:30 am at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 175 Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston, Rhode Island.
There will be no funeral cortege from the funeral home prior to the funeral service.
Burial will follow in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Attleboro, MA.
Following cemetery services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced.
