Arthur Lizzaro "Zeke" Rivello, 92, of George Street, Attleboro; formerly of Pine Street, Attleboro and a lifelong Attleboro resident, died on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at the Golden Living Center - Attleboro where he had been a longtime resident. Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on January 3, 1920, he was a son of the late Pasquale and Theresa (Longobardi) Rivello. He was a lifelong resident of the City of Attleboro and was educated in his native community. Mr. Rivello enlisted in the Untied States Army on July 7, 1942 and served until his honorable discharge on September 22, 1943. He was employed as a polisher for Creed Rosary for more than 30 years until he retired at the age of 62. Mr. Rivello was a lifelong communicant of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Attleboro. Among his favorite pastimes were those spent in his vegetable garden tending to his tomatoes. His family gratefully acknowledges the care he received from the nurses and staff while a resident at the Golden Living Center - Attleboro He leaves two sisters: Ann McBurney of Pawtucket, Rhode Island and Mary Baker of Jupiter, Florida; 35 first generation nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Mariano Rivello, Anthony Rivello, Claire Bologna, Eva Girelli, Mariano Rivello and Ferdinand "Fun" Rivello. Visitation is respectfully omitted. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, August 24, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main Street - Route 152, Attleboro with the Rev. Richard Wilson, Pastor, officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mr. Rivello's name may be made to the Dyer-Lake Charitable Foundation, Inc., a registered 501 (c) 3 organization, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, North Attleboro, MA 02760 to benefit the American Cancer Society.
