Arthur Walter Mallon

Arthur Walter Mallon, Sr., 77, of Mendon Road, North Attleboro, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at his home.  He was the beloved husband of Nancy B. (Rohrhurst) Mallon, to whom he was wed on January 3, 1959. Born in Pawtucket, RI on September 27, 1938, Arthur was the son of Bernard J. Mallon, Sr., and Blanche Mary (Jacques) Mallon. Arthur proudly and honorably served our country in the United States Marines and worked for many years in the construction business before retiring. He resided in North Attleboro for more than forty-six years, where he and his wife raised their five children.  He enjoyed woodcarving, particularly of fish, and time spent hunting in Maine with his nephew and four sons. In addition to his wife, Nancy, he is survived by his cherished children: Arthur W. Mallon, Jr. of North Attleboro, MA; Daniel J. Mallon of Port Charlotte, FL; Richard P. Mallon of Port Charlotte, FL; Donna L. (Mallon) Halpen of Swansea, MA; and Steven J. Mallon of Cumberland, RI; seven treasured grandchildren and one great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of Rita Mallon of Providence, RI; Bernard J. Mallon, Jr. of Seekonk, MA; and Francis Mallon of Rumford, RI. Arthur was the brother of the late Blanche (Mallon) Pollock and William Mallon. Visitation has respectfully been omitted. Burial services will be private.
