PLEASE NOTE: Due to expected snowstorm on Monday and Tuesday, February 9-10, 2015, the Memorial Mass for Mr. Boutin has been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at 10:00 AM at St. Mark's Roman Catholic Church, Stanley Street, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Arthur A. Boutin, 88, of Jackson Street, Attleboro Falls, passed away on January 13, 2015 at the Life Care Center of Attleboro. He was the devoted husband of Rita (Mercier) Boutin with whom he married in 1956 and spent 58 loving years together. Born in Attleboro on January 20, 1926 he was the son of the late Arthur J. and Loretta (Boudreau) Boutin. He was raised and educated in Attleboro. Affectionately known as "Boots" by many, Arthur briefly served in the United States Navy in 1944 before being honorably discharged. He was then employed by the Dodgeville Finishing Company for 30 years. In 1973, he moved to North Attleborough and shortly after became employed by The Foxboro Company as a security guard prior to his retirement prior to his retirement in 1987. Family was most important to Arthur. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was an avid sports fan and a loyal follower of the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings. He was a great conversationalist with an excellent recollection for details and enjoyed sharing stories with others. He also enjoyed reading and working in the yard. In addition to his loving wife, Rita, he is survived by his three children: Mickey Boutin of North Attleborough; Randy Boutin and his wife, Jennifer, of Shrewsbury and Karen (Boutin) Grenier and her husband, Thomas, of North Attleborough. He was the loving grandfather to four wonderful grandchildren: Cameron Boutin, Chase Boutin, Abby and Kate Grenier. He is also survived by his loving sister, Helen (Boutin) Greenhalgh and her husband, Martel, of Phoenix, Arizona and several beloved nieces and nephews. Visitation has been respectfully omitted. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Saint Mark's Roman Catholic Church, 105 Stanley Street, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleborough. Burial will be private. The Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleborough, 508-695-0200, is assisting the family with arrangements.
