Armand Alphonse Lacasse

Armand Alphonse Lacasse, 78 Retired Toolmaker and Veteran Armand Alphonse Lacasse, 78, of Roy Avenue, South Attleboro, died on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at the Life Care Center of Attleboro. He was the husband of Carole A. (Daniels) Lacasse to whom he was married on September 24, 1976. Born in North Attleboro, Massachusetts on January 26, 1933, he was a son of the late Wilfred and Rosanna (Metayer) Lacasse. He was raised and educated in North Attleboro where he resided until moving to South Attleboro nine years ago. Mr. Lacasse was a veteran of the United States Army having proudly served from 1953 1955. He was employed as a toolmaker for Poly Metallurgical Corporation P.M.C. in North Attleboro for many years prior to his retirement. While residing in North Attleboro, Mr. Lacasse was a communicant of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed gardening, collecting train memorabilia and was an ardent NASCAR fan. His most precious times were those spent with his beloved grandchildren. In addition to his wife of 34 years, he leaves six children: Karen L. Garrity of South Attleboro; Russell Lacasse in Arizona; Theresa Delomba of Seekonk; Cathy Lacasse of Seekonk; Raymond Schmiz of North Attleboro and Carolyn Schmiz of Norton; 13 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a sister: Adele Laliberte of Brookville, Florida and several extended family members and friends. He was the brother of the late Robert Leo Lacasse and Roland Lacasse. He was the grandfather of the late James Keough. Visitation has been respectfully omitted. Funeral services and burial will be conducted privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mr. Lacasses name and honor may be made to the Dyer-Lake Charitable Foundation, Inc., a registered 501 (c) 3 organization, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, North Attleboro, MA 02760 to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
