Antonio "Tony" Santos Ferreira Jr.

Antonio "Tony" Santos Ferreira Jr., 51, of Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at home, surrounded by his loving family.  He was the beloved husband of Heidi J. (Hasselbaum) Ferreira, to whom he was married on September 28, 1996.
Born on October 20, 1967 in Taunton, MA, he was the son of the late Antonio Santos Ferreira Sr., and the late Neide (Desa) Ferreira.
A graduate of Taunton High School, Class of 1985, he worked for several years as an Operations Manager at Gillette Stadium, enjoyed self-employment in the field of sports memorabilia marketing and sales, and had owned several Tedeschi Food Shops in Easton, MA, before retiring.
A resident of Attleboro since 1994, he previously lived for many years on Church Avenue in Taunton. He had at one time hosted a radio show on WPEP in Taunton with his brother-in-law, Michael Casstevens, and played in the Taunton Whist Club.  He was a member of the New Bedford Wrestling Club. Tony enjoyed a close network of friends, and always seemed to have a special place in his heart for animals, especially his cat, "Gabby", and could often be seen feeding birds and raccoons.
In addition to his wife, Heidi, he leaves his siblings: Dianne Ferreira of Attleboro, MA; and Cloe (Ferreira) Donlan and her husband, Mark Dolan, of Harwich, MA; and his brother-in-law, Robert Hasselbaum and his wife, Amy Hasselbaum, of Bellingham, MA; and his sister-in-law, Dawn McKetchnie and her husband, Rev. Robert McKetchnie, of Attleboro, MA., and his brother-in-law, Michael Casstevens. He was the loving son-in-law of Robert and Ingrid (Smith) Hasselbaum of North Attleboro, MA.  Tony was the dear uncle of Kyler Donlan of Harwich, MA; Rhys Casstevens and Lee Casstevens, both of Attleboro, MA; and Cameron Hasselbaum and Casey Hasselbaum, both of Bellingham, MA. He leaves many dear friends.
Friends and family are cordially invited to honor and remember Tony by gathering for a Visitation on Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. - 7.00 p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, immediately followed by a funeral service at 7:00 p.m.
Burial services will be privately held in North Purchase Cemetery, Attleboro, MA.
